Are Saudi Arabians Sunni ?
Are Saudi Arabians Sunni ? Well, this is very interesting question. I think there are so many persons in the world who want to know about this.
Basically, based on the history, Saudi Arabians’ Islam is still quite original. It’s protected very well. This is because of Allah ta’ala through the Syeikh/Ulama in Makkah and Madinah. They keep the Islam originality very well.
So, are Saudi Arabians Sunni? Not All, actually. Saudi Arabia is built by the foundation of Islam Sunni, but later on, syiah comes gradually.
Based on article “Saudi Arabia Population Composition (Islam, Syiah, Citizen and Foreigners)” (follow the link), around 15% of Saudi Arabians are Syiah. Most of Syi’ah people are living in Eastern Saudi Arabia : Qatif, Al-Ahsa, Dammam, Najran and Madinah. Syiah is not Islam. Syiah is different thing out there.
So, I want to tell you that the Islam that the government protect is Islam Sunni. Saudi Arabia is a Sunni country. I heard several month ago that Saudi Arabians Syiah wanted to do some coup d’ etat, but because of the government’s security action, it failed. Until now, Saudi Arabia is a sunni country.
