Activity details are available in two different page layouts, or formats: Tabs and Form. Both layouts provide access to the full range of activity details, you simply have the option to display data according to your preference.

  • In Form layout, you can view all details on a single Web page, expanding and collapsing categories of information as needed.
  • In Tabs layout, you can more easily focus on one category of details at a time.

The layout that appears when you choose to view activity details depends primarily on the user interface view assigned to you, typically by an administrator. However, there are some exceptions to this; for example, when you click an activity name in a portlet, the details always display in the Form layout. If your administrator has granted edit privileges for your user interface view, you can choose your Activity Details layout. Additionally, all users who have access to activity details can choose the categories of details they want to display.

Choose an Activity Details layout

If you have privileges to edit your user interface view, you can select the Activity Details layout you want to use.

  1. At the top of any page, click Preferences.
  2. Click the View tab.
  3. Expand the Projects > Icon Tabs section if necessary.
  4. For the Activities page, choose the Form or Tabs option.
  5. Click Save and Close.

Choose the detail categories to display

  1. At the top of any page, click Preferences.
  2. Click the Projects tab.
  3. In the Activity Details section, mark the checkbox for each category of details you want to display.
  4. Use the arrow keys to position the detail categories.

The top to bottom position is replicated exactly in the single page Form layout. For the Tabs layout, the top to bottom position represents the left to right sequence of the detail tabs.

  1. Click Save and Close.
