How to check if iqama is transferable
So, yesterday, I get a question : How to check if iqama is transferable?
It’s normal this question pop up, because every expat working in this country wants to improve the career. When an expat gets boring in the current working place or he doesn’t get good salary increment or he need better salary, he must go out of his current salary.
When he found a company in Saudi eager to hire him, he will be asked, “are your iqama transferable?”. So, to know if iqama is transferable or not, is very important, because it will decide whether you can go to the new place or not.
Here is the answer. Actually, all iqama is transferable. It’s really transferable, but some of the Kafeels or Companies do not want to give the release letter and No Objection Certificate (NOC) . So this is it.
As long as your Kafeel or your company’s HR/management give you the Release Letter and No Objection Certificate, you will be able to transfer to other company. So, to know if your iqama is transferable or not, ask politely to your HR or Manager.
