What is Ecstasy?
Ecstasy was formerly produced by Merck pharmaceutical company in 1912. In its true form, it was commonly called as “MDMA.” It was consumed in 1953 by the US Army in psychological warfare tests, and after that reexisted in the 1960s as a psychotherapy medication to “lower inhibitions.” It was not until the 1970s that MDMA began being consumed as a party drug.
Since the early 1980s, MDMA was being sponsored as interesting happiness making drug and being used for so many random parties. MDMA was legal in 1984. It was sold by using a name “Ecstasy,” but in 1985, this MDMA drug was prohibited for safety consideration.
By the late 1980s, Ecstasy has become a name for all drugs which contain even very little or no MDMA at all. And while MDMA itself is able to create dangerous effects, the drug which is named as Ecstasy nowadays can contain a various mixture of substances—from LSD, heroin, cocaine, amphetamine and methamphetamine, to caffeine, rat poison, dog deworming substances, etc. Considering the nice logos which dealers give on the pills, it is possible to make Ecstasy to be really dangerous; a consumer never really understand what he or she is coonsuming. The harms are added when consumers add the dose to seek the previous high, not understanding they canbe consuming a whole different drugs combinations.
Ecstasy most often created in pill form but can also be used by injection and by other ways. Liquid Ecstasy, for example, is actually GHB. This GHB is a nervous system depressant—something that is able to be found in degreasing solvents, floor stripper and drain cleaner.
